What's the future of Health Tracker

Health Tracker is in what I consider to be maintenance mode. There are several new features that I would like to add, but none of them are particularly earth shattering. Our tool provides for a small niche of people who are looking for a diary style tracker. The big boys in this space have much deeper pockets and can afford to purchase / build extensive databases.

I was originally offended when I saw a two star review from a free user basically stating that the product NOOM has a much more extensive database. OK so I am still a little offended by her review pointing to a competing product... ( hmm, perhaps I shouldn't have also done the same thing ).

The bottom line is I have been developing software for a few decades and know that we have something useful. If you have fun with our style of product then welcome aboard! If you need something a bit different ask away, I have seen some pretty nice products. ( NOOM and LoseIt are two that I think are pretty cool ).

Version 2.7 is now available

I finally got tired of the very bland text colors that I had going on Health Tracker. So I grabbed a new palette of colors and implemented them into our app. I hope you like them. Feel free to post comments to the blog and tell me what you think.

If you are looking for the old forums site it is still around ( and will be for a little while ) at novelcoder.com. I will no longer be updating the forums. If you don't recall, the problems I ran into with the forums were the hackers, primarily from China, running bots were continuously spamming the forums. I was spending about 30 minutes every day cleaning out the spam. I don't think it was anything personal, just the only forum software available on GoDaddy happened to be the favorite fodder for these types of attacks.

New Site for Health Tracker app

I have decided to move away from a forum based site. Health Tracker users generally don't post to our forums so I am primarily sharing future updates. This blog is an easier format for this.
